Safe Kids Iowa and Bob Brown help you to make sure that your kiddos car seat is fitted and installed correctly! At Bob Brown Chevrolet in Urbandale from 5-7pm once a month all year long, you can take your car and car seat and have a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician provide education and help with how to properly use and install car seats!

Families Helping Families is hosting their Foster/Adoptive Family Resource Fair again this year! This year will be focusing on resources tied into mental health and diagnosis support for physical/behavioral diagnoses. The Resource Fair is free to attend and will have a special guest speaker, Amber Jewell! The event will be held on Saturday, April 22nd from 1-3:30pm at Grant Wood AEA in Cedar Rapids, IA (4401 6th Street SW). Childcare will be provided for ages 4 and up. Stride Autism Centers and the Blank Children’s Developmental Center have joined together to provide a series of free workshops for caregivers of individuals with autism.
The first workshop is Orientation to Autism Diagnosis and Treatment. It will be held in person and over Zoom, both will be live (same date and time). The topics for this first workshop will include autism diagnostic assessments, post diagnosis, and strategies to implement at home.
