September is Infant Mortality Awareness Month and to support awareness efforts Healthy Start is co-hosting EveryStep’s 2nd annual Roll Baby Roll – Walking to Bring Awareness to Infant Mortality . We encourage families and anyone interested to join us on Wednesday, September 27th. It’s a one-mile round trip walk to the Iowa State Capitol grounds. Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers can join us too – don’t forget your stroller. Community resources, education and baby supplies will be offered throughout the event. After the walk will be a free meal and prize drawings for gift cards and baby items. The event flyer is attached and below is some information about infant mortality.
