Individual support programs, known also as home visiting programs, share information and advocate for families. Individual support programs often provide skills related to parenting, child development milestones, developing problem solving techniques, and strengthening family relationships.

Individual support programs promote resiliency and ensure children are safe, healthy, and ready to succeed in school. Programs are evaluated and have shown to improve birth outcomes, increase parental confidence, encourage family economic success, strengthen the home learning environment, and build community support. These programs take place within the family’s own home for comfort and ease. Specific eligibility varies across programs and areas.

In addition to the services and organizations listed below, there are other family support services provided throughout the state. To have your program listed, please contact Iowa Family Support Network by calling 1-888-425-4371 or emailing us at iafamilysupportnetwork@everystep.org.
