Painting in the Park! This is an hour long event for those with special needs and their families to paint a canvas in the park at Rosedale Rapids Playground in Fort Dodge on June 25th at 10:30-11:30am. All materials will be provided and for more information: https://facingautismfd.com/ 
On August 30th from 10am-4:30pm and again on August 31st from 10am-3pm, Dr. Therese Wilkommm will be hosting an Assistive Technology Maker Workshop! During this event, participants will be able to create over 5 assistive technology devices to support various tasks and limitations. The event will take place at Easter Seals Iowa (401 Northeast 66th Ave, DM 50313). – Learn how to stay healthy before, during and after your pregnancy.
– Learn how to navigate your health and your baby’s health when talking to doctors or providers.
– Visit with a nurse. Get free iron and blood pressure checks. (For pregnant individuals)

•Families can explore a fire engine, police car and an ambulance and meet personnel on their terms, making future encounters less frightening.

•Make an emergency plan for your family
•Fire extinguisher and hands only CPR training available for family members

•Quiet and sensory friendly areas
•Meet Ankeny Police officers
•Learn about Project LOST with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office
