Group-based parent education programs are designed to provide support and education in a group setting, helping parents acquire skills needed to help their child reach developmental success. Such programs help parents gain knowledge and understanding of age appropriate behavior and expected developmental milestones. These organized meetings provide peer support and help parents enhance their children’s health and development through an evidence-based curriculum.

Group-based parent education may include more than one session and take place over the course of a specific time frame. Eligibility for families enrolling in a group-based parenting education program may vary across programs and areas.

In addition to the services and organizations listed below, there are other family support services provided throughout the state. To have your program listed, please contact Iowa Family Support Network by calling 1-888-425-4371 or emailing us at iafamilysupportnetwork@everystep.org.
