Safety City Des Moines
Safety City is a community project put on by DMPD for children going into kindergarten to put forth hands on safety education. This is a free program to learn about 911, water safety, fire safety, pedestrian safety, poison safety, bike safety, and more! Space is limited and sign up is required. Fill out the registration form and email to dkvanvelzen@dmgov.org or mail to DMPD Youth Services Coordinator, 25 E 1st Street, Des Moines IA 50309. The summer session is from July 10-14, 2023 at 8:30-11:30am at Jesse Taylor Preschool (1801 16th Street, Des Moines)
